Diagnostic Test Scheduling & Information

If your doctor request you undergo one or more of the following diagnostic test(s), therapy and/or treatment:

  • MRI/MRA
  • CAT SCAN
  • Bone Scan
  • EMG/NCS
  • Hyalgan / Orthovisc / Synvisc injections
 

Please call your insurance carrier to verify whether you need pre-certification for any of these procedures, tests and/or medications your doctor has prescribed for you. If you do require pre-certification, please contact our office at (212) 305-0622.

Our office staff will obtain all necessary authorizations through your insurance carrier.Please be advised that it may take up to 3 business days to obtain authorizations/pre-certification.

Once the authorization/precertification is obtained, our office staff will contact you with the information and any necessary information you will need regarding scheduling your test and/or series of injections with the doctor.

Remember to bring your requisition/prescription for the test with you on the day of your test.

 

What Do I Do If I Don’t Hear From Your Office?

If 3 business days have passed and you do not hear from our office, please contact our Pre-Certification Department at (212) 305-0622 for immediate assistance.
Please do not call the doctor’s main office listed on the front of the appoint ment card.

 

How Do I Get My Test Results?

After you have scheduled your diagnostic test, you need to:

  • Schedule an office visit with your doctor to review your test results.*Please mention the reason for the visit to the Appointment Scheduler.
  • Obtain a copy of the test results and the radiological films from the facility that performed your radiological tests such as MRI, CT & Bone Scans (most facilities can provide you with the films on the same day as your test) & bring the results and films with you to your visit with the doctor.
  • If your doctor specifically told you he/she would call you when they receive the results, please contact their office directly after you have taken the test to alert our staff and provide the doctor with the contact information you wish to be reached at.

What If I Need To Reschedule My Test Appointment?

If you are unable to keep your scheduled testing appointment, please contact the ancillary facility directly to reschedule.

You might also need to contact our Appointment Scheduling Office to reschedule your appointment with your doctor to ensure that the test results will be available for your visit with the doctor.
