At Columbia Orthopaedics we believe that when you play a more active role in your own care, the healthier you will be. Since most medical decisions are ultimately in your hands, we want you to know as much as possible about your own health and the care we can provide in partnership with you.
We offer a patient education program for patients undergoing joint replacement surgery. Classes are given that provide detailed information on what to bring to the hospital, what to expect the day of surgery, pain management, and recovery/rehabilitation needs after the operation. What to Expect patient education binders have been developed by our healthcare professionals as a helpful tool to help guide the patient and family through the surgery and recovery process.
