Columbia/New York Orthopedic Hospital Visiting Student Elective Scholarship
The Columbia/New York Orthopedic Hospital Visiting Student Elective Scholarship at Columbia Orthopedics is awarded annually to three students (maximum) interested in pursuing a career in orthopedic surgery who would benefit from financial assistance to offset the costs associated with living in NYC for one month. Emphasis is placed on demonstrated leadership in your community, academic excellence, and a dedicated desire to live and train in New York City.
The program comprises clinical mentorship and research opportunities with Columbia Orthopedics faculty and residents. Students may also participate in research.
- Awardees receive a stipend of $3,500.
- The scholarships are available for students rotating between June through October 2024.
