2022 Year In Review: New Faculty

Meet the new faculty who joined the Columbia Orthopedics Team over the last year

Columbia Orthopedics welcomed nine new faculty members into our ranks in 2022. This select group of specialists are among the very best the field of orthopedics has to offer, embodying the principles of clinical, research, and academic excellence that have guided our organization for more than a century.

They all come to us with specialized training from some of the nation’s most prestigious orthopedic programs and academic medical institutions—including Columbia. Their understanding and enthusiasm for the latest advanced techniques and technologies will help us maintain our position as a leader in clinical excellence and innovation.

This group of new faculty members includes physician-scientists with extensive publication resumes and deep research backgrounds, continuing our legacy of improving care through careful and thoughtful investigation and analysis. Many of the new recruits bring experience working with professional athletic organizations, including the National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, and Major League Baseball, as well as a number of Division I collegiate programs. Their accomplishments also include an impressive array of awards recognizing their leadership skills, further strengthening Columbia’s  commitment to advancing and supporting the next generation of orthopedic specialists.

These new team members will help Columbia Orthopedics expand our presence and deliver the highest level of care to new areas and patient populations. They will provide services at NewYork-Presbyterian Milstein Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester.

We are excited to see their impact as providers and leaders both here at Columbia and across all of orthopedic medicine.
