Columbia Orthopedics provider Ronald A. Lehman, Jr., MD was elected to the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) Board of Directors, at the SRS Member Business Meeting on September 20th. Dr. Lehman, who serves as Director of Degenerative & Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and Director of Clinical Spine Research at Columbia Orthopedics, will serve as SRS Director at Large for a three-year term.

“Being elected to the Board for SRS is incredibly humbling as it is the governing board for pediatric and adult spinal deformity,” said Dr. Lehman.

SRS is an international organization that strives to provide top quality care to patients with scoliosis as well as other spinal deformities. Founded in 1966, SRS now has over 1300 members worldwide who are dedicated to researching and treating spinal deformities. Dr. Lehman’s appointment to the board will help foster the goals of SRS, in their attempt to optimize care for all patients with spinal deformity.

Dr. Lehman previously served as Program Director for the 50th Anniversary meeting of SRS in Minneapolis, Minnesota and as Chairman of the International Meeting for Advanced Surgical Techniques (IMAST).
