Dr. Eric P. Anctil is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Columbia Orthopedics, specializing in the comprehensive care of foot and ankle disorders. With two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Anctil is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital and to the Westchester and Hudson Valley communities. Dr Anctil was born Quebec, Canada where he earned his undergraduate and medical degrees. After completing his orthopedic surgery residemcy in Canada, Dr Anctil concluded his orthopedic subspecialty fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic Phoenix in Foot And Ankle surgery. Finally, He holds a Master degree in Medical Management from University of Southern California. Dr Anctil is a Fellow of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), and an active member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS). Finally, he is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Columbia University. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Anctil has been recognized for his clinical excellence and has consistently been named a "Top Doctor" in his field. His clinical practice is defined by a commitment to motion-preservation surgery. Dr. Anctil was among the first surgeons in the United States to perform the Scandinavian Total Ankle Replacement (STAR), and he remains an authority on ankle arthroplasty as an alternative to joint fusion. He specializes in treating complex conditions such as advanced ankle arthritis, chronic tendon injuries, and sports-related trauma. Dr. Anctil’s approach to patient care is deeply collaborative. He believes that the most successful outcomes stem from a thorough understanding of each patient’s lifestyle and goals—whether that is returning to competitive sports or simply walking without pain. By combining cutting-edge surgical techniques, such as minimally invasive bunion correction and ankle arthroscopy, with personalized non-operative treatment plans, he ensures that every patient receives a tailored path to recovery.
