  • Matthew M. Levitsky, MD

Medical School: Tufts University School of Medicine
    Undergraduate: Colgate University

Why did you choose Columbia Orthopedics?

I chose Columbia Orthopedics because of its familial feel. The residents get along extremely well and are supportive of each other both at work and outside of it. The close ratio of residents to attendings ensures that residents and attendings develop a robust working relationship. Because the attendings know the residents so well, they feel comfortable teaching the residents in all aspects of academic orthopedics. As someone who would like to teach residents when I become an attending, the mentoring that I receive at Columbia will be crucial to how I interact with my residents in the future.
