Updated No-Show & Cancellation Policy
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2026
At Columbia Orthopedics, our goal is to provide quality care in a timely manner. Effective Jan. 1, 2025, Columbia Orthopedics has updated our cancellation and no-show policy. This policy enables us to more effectively manage available appointments and provide the best medical care possible.
Cancelling an Appointment
- Please be courteous and call us if you are unable to show up for an appointment so we can offer the slot to another patient.
- Current patients must contact the office at least 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment. If your appointment is not canceled within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, you will be considered a “no-show.”
No Show Policy
After the first no-show in our department, we reserve the right to charge for missed or cancelled appointments without the 24-hour notice. Failure to cancel at least 24 hours in advance or not showing up will result in a charge of $50 per visit. If you have a balance, future appointments may be affected and numerous no-shows may result in the patient being discharged from our practice.
Note: Cancellation/no-show fees are ineligible for insurance or managed care plan coverage. They are the sole responsibility of the patient/guardian.
Thank you for your understanding.
